How the facility-sponsored path works
Traditional CNA classes cost hundreds to a few thousand dollars up front. Our path works the other way around: the facility hires you, invests in your training, and expects you to grow into a long-term CNA on their team. Here's every step, in order.
1. Apply as a CNA Trainee / Resident Assistant
You don't sign up for a class. You apply for a paid Resident Assistant role at a Living Legends facility. No CNA certification required to start.
2. Start on payroll from day one
You earn a paycheck as a Resident Assistant while learning the residents, the team, and the routines — no tuition, no student debt.
3. Facility sponsors your CNA training
When you and the care team agree you're ready, the facility sends you to a NYS-approved nurse aide training program and pays for it. You stay on payroll.
4. Pass the NYS Prometric exam
The facility covers your first Prometric written and clinical exam attempt. Your trainer and recruiter help you prep — most candidates pass the first or second try.
5. Get listed on the NYS Nurse Aide Registry
Prometric reports your results to the state, usually within 10 business days. You're officially a Certified Nurse Aide in New York — for the rest of your career.
